Jubilee Celebrations

The 50th anniversary celebrations of GBHS Mbengwi Cameroon is aimed at celebrating the history and achievements of the school, as well as to raise funds to rescue and revamp the institutions in this very challenging times.

This is a rare opportunity to bring together the past and present students, administrative staffs and teachers as well as well-wishers of the institution.

It will be a week-long event held from the 12^th to the 18^th of November 2023.

The event will kick off with an ecumenical church service, human investment on the two campuses and Mbengwi community backed by a series of activities throughout the anniversary week which include among others;

• A number of talks, exhibitions and displays throughout the week, showcasing the school’s history, its alumni, and its achievements.
• Round table discussions on various media outlets beginning with the Rainbow Radio Mbengwi.
• Human investment of GBHS students in some key structures in Mbengwi like the Office of the SDO, the Mayor, the Hospital etc.
• A sporting event between GBHS Mbengwi and other schools in the area
• 16^th November, Anniversary Celebrations at the GBHS Mbengwi Campus
• Launching or inauguration of the Anniversary Projects
• There will also be a souvenir shop for anniversary memorabilia, including T-Shirts, pens, notebooks, dairies, etc.
• Stands available for sponsors to show case their products as well as cultivate new client.
• 18^th November, Anniversary Celebrations in Bamenda & Galla Night
• Closing and departure

Meetings.

Taking into account the scope and breath of the distribution of the ex-students, some meetings will be held in person while others through calls and online like on zoom or whatsapp.

The organizers of this historic event are hoping that the 50th anniversary celebrations will be a unique opportunity to rebrand the institution, bring back her lost glory and celebrate the school’s rich history.
