Anniversary Activities
Operational strategy
a- Sensitisation, local and international community mobilization through the website, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
b- Production and distribution of special invitations
c- Identify and engage various batches to understand the needs of the school and to get them involved in the preparation and fundraising process
d- An activity to pre-launch the event. (Maybe a church service …) backed by the media
e- Visits, calls with special invitations to ex-staff (especially pioneer teachers) of GBHS Mbengwi
f- Book the Bamenda Congress Hall
g- Shortlist needy children for sponsorship
- A number of talks, exhibitions, and displays throughout the week, showcasing the school’s history, its alumni, and its achievements.
- Round table discussions on various media outlets beginning with the Rainbow Radio Mbengwi.
- Human investment of GBHS students in some key structures in Mbengwi like the Office of the SDO, the Mayor, the Hospital, etc.
- A sporting event between GBHS Mbengwi and other schools in the area
- Anniversary Celebrations at the Congress Hall Bamenda/ fundraising
- Celebrations at the GBHS Mbengwi Campus
- There will also be a souvenir shop for anniversary memorabilia, including T-shirts, pens, notebooks, diaries, etc.

The organizers of the event are hoping that the 50th-anniversary celebrations will be a memorable event that will rebrand the institution, bring together the GBHS Mbengwi community, and celebrate the school’s rich history.
